Pinot Noir from Vincent Fargier of Les Deux Terres in southern Ardeche. This is macerated in whole bunches for 3 weeks. It’s full of bloody and aromatic fruit.

Deep in the Northern Rhone’s mountainous Ardeche, Daniel had been attending natural wine fairs for years while making garage wines for himself and friends’ consumption. Every time he would have vignerons’ friends taste the wines and he’d make treasure of their impression. An endeavour which evidently paid off in spades, as he’s now become a cult name in the natural wine world and beyond. He farms, strictly naturally of course, small amounts of Gamay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay and Viognier, some of which from rather old vines, and he purchases some grapes from neighboring natural vignerons. Practices in the vineyard and cellar are super-natural and see no fining, filtration or added SO2. These are wines of stellar expressivity, cosmic juice and unbridled energy.
