100% Gamay from vines planted on soils of pink granitic sand. Jean has farmed organically from the beginning but has never sought certification. As for the rest, it’s tradition at work: harvesting by hand, vinification of whole bunches, cold carbonic maceration, 9 months of maturation in barrels that have seen several wines, no filtration, and just a light dose of sulphites during racking.

Predominantly red fruits, flowers and very pretty. There is such an easy way about this wine that one can forget how serious it is. The palate is even and integrated, everything in its place. Red fruits, a touch of blueberry, thyme and coal smoke. The tannins are so soft and cashmere like. Persistent and framing but perfectly balanced and threaded into the fabric of the wine.
