Mataburro is a family story since Laurent Roger, former sommelier of the Verre Volé in Paris, took over the vineyards that once belonged to his grandfather, then to his father.
After passing through the Castex and Matassa schools, he settled in Rivesaltes, on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, with his partner Mélissa. On their different plots of land, we find a great diversity of terroirs and grape varieties: merlot, black and grey grenache, macabeu, mourvedre. The grapes are always vinified with the objective of extracting the maximum fruit and obtaining wines of great drinkability.

The early pick was macerated for four days and the second one for 5 days. After pressing the wine was aged in fibreglass. At the start of the palate it is all flowers and fruit but it finishes speaking of the soil, with a steely mineral statement.
