Olla rouge is light at 11,5% and with a good amount of white wine involved, it is bright red and fresh. Some red berries, a touch of Mediterranean herbs and flowers and just the right amount of wildness to make it exciting, but still easy and a lot of fun to drink.

A New Zealand native, Tom was one of the pioneers of the South African wine revolution that has taken place over the last couple of decades. His low-intervention approach flew in the face of the conventional wineries of South Africa that dominated the wine scene. His fascinating wines helped spawn a generation of exciting new producers across the country.
After he met his wife Nathalie during working vintage at the great Domaine Gauby, Tom decided to stay in France and launch Domaine Matassa. His wines are now adored the world over.
