Sextant is the personal winemaking project of Julien Altaber, a passionate vigneron based in Saint-Aubin, Burgundy. After gaining experience with Dominique Derain, a pioneer in biodynamic viticulture, Altaber established Sextant in 2007 to produce natural wines that authentically express their terroir.
Altaber’s approach emphasizes minimal intervention: he avoids adding oenological products, including sulfites, and practices organic and biodynamic farming. This philosophy results in wines that are vibrant, pure, and reflective of their origin.
