Notes from Giorgio De Maria:
From old vines of Gamay d’Auvergne planted on basalt. A portion of the grapes were fermented as whole bunches and the other portion destemmed, with a bit more than a year’s élevage in old barriques. It opens more earthy, but then in the glass unveils more beautiful red fruit, rhubarb along with pepper and other spices. Striking beauty.
