Moritz Kissinger makes highly sought-after natural wines in Rheinhessen, Germany. His approach and wines taste very terroir-driven (cool climate with soils of limestone and clay) and the results are praised for their vibrancy, elegance and precision. This and his commitment to sustainable farming practices make him one of the leading natural winemakers in Germany, with high demand and not large supply. We LOVE his wines!

The wine is saline, with waxy citrus fruit, lemon pith and herbs. This is not an “orange wine;” it is finer and has more definition and clarity than that suggests. To us, one would have to look perhaps to the Jura to contextualize this wine.
